Classic American Pancakes




Pancakes are an American classic dish served with syrup, butter, and any favorites topping . You may be surprised to find that pancakes exist all over the world and it seems that each culture has its own unique take on them. They are served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all over the globe. Its a flat cake that's made by pouring batter into a hot pan and frying it on both sides. Pancakes come in many different shapes, sizes and flavors. They can be sweet, savory, thick, thin, small or large, but they are all delicious! While there are many types of pancakes, at hereI like share classic recipe with the traditional American style


THE RECIPE

iNGREDIENTS:

·         cups all purpose flour

·         2-3 Teaspoons of granulated sugar

·         teaspoons baking powder

·         A pinch of baking soda

·         A pinch of  salt

·         1/4 cup milk

·         2 teaspoons butter

·         teaspoon pure vanilla extract

INSTRUCTION:

·      Combine together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large-sized bowl. Mix the ingredients well adding milk, melted butter and vanilla extract.

·   Mix together until smooth. (The batter will be thick and creamy in consistency. If you find the batter too thick add a couple tablespoons of extra milk into the batter until reaching desired consistency).

·         Set the batter aside and allow to rest while heating up your pan.

·    Keeping the pan in low-medium heat, wipe over with a little butter to lightly grease pan. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan and spread out gently into a round shape.

·     Bubbles begin to appear on the surface, flip to cook on other side until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.

And here .... the flat cake is ready!!

Garnish and serve with nuts, honey, maple syrup, Chocolate syrup, fruit, ice cream or frozen yogurt, or enjoy plain!!
