Paneer - 1 cup cubed

Cashews - 10 to 12 (soaked in
warm water for 5 mins)
·
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
·
Salt to taste
·
Onions - 2 medium sized
·
Ginger - 1 inch
·
Garlic - 5 cloves
· Green chilies - 2 no’s
·
Cloves - 3 no’s
·
Cinnamon - 2 no’s
·
Cardamom - 3 no’s
·
Peppercorns - 10 no’s
·
Oil - 3 tsp
· Coriander powder - 2 tsp
·
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
· Bay leaf - 1 no
Step 1:
Roast finely chopped Onion in oil/ butter until golden brown. Keep it aside for a while. Let it cool down.
Step 2:
Make fine ground
paste combining fried onion, cashews, green chilies, ginger and garlic adding
some water.
Step 3:
Heat
a dry frying pan adding oil. Add all the spices (Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Peppercorns, Bay leaf and
cumin seeds) and heat over a low flame.
Step
4:
Add
the ground paste into it and heat it on medium flame for 6 mins. After that add
coriander and garam masala powder. Mix it with the paste well.
Step
5:
Add
half a cup of water blend it well with the paste. Add cubed paneer into it and mix well. If you need little gravy, add
more water at this stage and boil it for a while.
Turn
the heat off and serve warm with pulao,
roti or naan.
